#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan pushes the limits in her next novel in the Torpedo Ink series.

Isaak “Ice” Koval is on a club mission when he sees a woman who stops him dead in his tracks. Soleil is a sweet, sexy, girl-next-door type. She’s an innocent who should be nowhere near the rough-and-ready world of the Torpedo Ink motorcycle club. But Ice knows Soleil belongs with him—and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her.

After a life of drifting from one thing to the next, Soleil Brodeur is determined to take control of her life. When her breakup with her manipulative fiancé turns ugly, Soleil searches out the stranger who offered her a lifeline and ends up in a Las Vegas biker bar where she meets a gorgeous, dangerous man straight out of her most secret fantasies.

High on adrenaline, she finds herself falling faster than she thought possible. But Soleil knows little about the territory she’s stumbled into, and even less about what it really means to be Ice’s woman.…

In the newest installment of the Torpedo Ink series by Christine Feehan. I have really been in love with this series and seeing the connection with this series with two of her other series, its been pretty exciting and of course I just love a great motorcycle club set up and Christine Feehan has done a beautiful job in writing these books. Now this book Vendetta Road was a bit different than the previous books but in the end did slowly work for me. It might not work for everyone though so just fair warning.

Vendetta Road begins with our hero Ice who is out on a run with his brothers to follow a lead on a young boy who has been sexually abused but on his way to tracking the key players he stumbles across a young woman, who is so not his type —-the “girl next door” beautiful, sweet and has class. But he has a mission to complete and never expected to see the woman who has made him feel more in one look than any other woman ever has. Soleil is a woman who has almost always lived a lonely life. Her parents had wealth and when they passed she inherited everything. But now she is engaged, but her fiancée is proving to be difficult, controllingand a bit abusive and has no desire to marry him. But wonders how she could get away from him when she meets up with a woman “Lena” who offers her phone number and help if she ever needs it. When Soleil’s fiancée beats her and she overhears him in a phone conversation with the intent of killing her once he gains access to her wealth, she runs away and finds herself in a bar and meets Ice. Both Ice and Soleil can feel the sexual chemistry between them and both ironically realize they need each other. And even though mentally they think alike in how they acquire each other and end up married, they also want to do everything to make this work despite the danger that Soleil’s ex fiancée is bringing on the Torpedo Ink’s doorstep.

This BOOK was just intense and crazy at times, but with typical Christine Feehan delight….you fall in love with it. Now this is not the book I would recommend if you have never read this author before. But if you love her writing style especially in how she writes her alpha males and type of romance she delivers…than this book is definitely going to win your heart. She has done a delightful job in doing these more contemporary style romances. Now there is a small paranormal element, but its pretty light. It’s much closer to Contemporary/Romantic Suspense in my book with some darker elements at times. But I wouldn’t categorize it as a dark romance either.

Now the beginning of the story was a bit off putting and I wasn’t sure if I was on board with it completely. Both Ice and Soleil once they meet in the bar, both as it turns out plan on getting the other drunk to coerce the other into marriage. So yes this set up where they actually are using each other (even though there is a obvious liking and sexual attraction between them) BUT what I did like is that they are both doing it. So that did help but it was still an element in the beginning of their relationship I really struggled with at times What we do see is the way they really do like each other though, and the sense of family that Soleil is introduced to. Their romance isn’t the most conventional of beginning but what we do see happen with them is that sense of true connection and how they build it together throughout the story. Of course we get plenty of intense and thrilling moments with the dangers that come across the Torpedo Ink Club BUT we see the essence of this story is focused solely around Ice and Soleil and the intimate bond that forms between them.

Vendetta Road is a compelling installment that will have your heart beat faster, tingles explode all over your body and a swoon worth romance to delight in you every way!!
