Jet McAlister has a secret. Eddie Chavez has the hots for Jet (not to mention Eddie’s just plain hot). Jet has too many problems to realize that Eddie’s interested. Eddie loses patience when Jet ends her waitressing shift at a strip club with a knife at her throat. Since Eddie’s a cop, he figures he can help. Since Jet’s used to solving everyone’s problems she doesn’t want Eddie’s help.

Throw in a Dolly Parton look-alike, a gruff but lovable strip club owner, Jet’s ne’er do well father, his ne’er do well friend, Bear, Bear’s long-suffering, chain-smoking wife Lavonne and the crew from Rock Chick and you’ve got Rock Chick Rescue.

Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver’s backstreet poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie’s take down a would-be murderer.

Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

Rock Chick Rescue was such an astounding romance to read, and man this book was simply packed with so much romantic goodness you might just have a stroke. What I do love about this book was how unique the plot was while having the voice of Kristen Ashley and her delicious alpha males. I admire Kristen Ashley’s writing, its always so easy to get into and gives me such good feels. Rock Chick Rescue is a story that you can get on board with and cheer on these characters on their journey to happy endings.

Jet MacAlister has had to take the world on her shoulders, her father has been practically non existent except for the few times he decides to drop by and say hi but he never stays around very long. Jet’s mother has recently suffered a stroke, and so Jet had to give up her bank job to be a waitress at a stripper club and work part time at a coffee/book shop in Denver. She begins to make a whole passal of friends at the book/coffee shop that prove to have her back including one man that is beyond gorgeous and even though its obvious that he is interested, Jet doesn’t believe that she has the looks to match him or would be good enough. Her life isn’t smooth sailing. But when a stranger pulls a knife to her throat with her father being the one they are hunting, she knows that her life is only going to get crazier. She always thought she led a dull boring life, but once she met Eddie Chavez her world turned upside down and she doesn’t know how to deal with this alpha male that only wants her and she doesn’t understand why he would want her. But Eddie is determined to protect this woman and nothing will stand in his way and soon emotions and love gets tangled in the mix….

Chiquita, women spend a lot of time sittin’ around bitchin’ that there are no good men out there.
I hate to tell you this, but there aren’t a lot of good women either.
The difference is, when a man sees one, he knows it.
Then, he goes after her and wears her down until she’s his.
Then, if he’s any man at all, he won’t let her go.

Rock Chick Rescue is a story that you can definitely fall in love with. I had a blast with this book here and it was simply superb in just about every way. I will admit that I wasn’t a big fan of the ending, it just didn’t have that happy ever after ending that I expect especially from a KA book. However, I enjoyed everything else about this story. I found myself relating to the heroine in many ways. You see how she does have doubts about herself and I believe that many people can relate to that. She is a hard worker, dedicated to her family and will do anything to protect them. I loved her dedication and willing to do jobs she hates just so she can pay the bills that she needs to. Now our hero, he is one badass alpha male and such a hoot to read. I have to say that I simply adored his character in many ways. He is protective and a typical Kristen Ashley alpha male, so stubborn and likes to have his own way. He sees Jet as the woman she truly is and finds her entertaining and full of life and I love that he never gives up on her even when she gets way too stubborn at times. Jet has a hard time of letting go because she has had to be in charge for so many years she doesn’t know any other way. But Eddie isn’t afraid of a challenge and Jet definitely tests his patience at times but I love how devoted Eddie is to Jet. He adores her and his personality just leaves the reader laughing upside and down. This book could be so outrageous at times and boy JET is CRAZY at times. I mean really, some of her stunts is out of this world—you would never think would actually happen and will leave you with bursts of laughter and it was so fun seeing Jet come out of her shell and discover her own way and who she really is when she isn’t killing herself with work and actually living life.

Overall I found Rock Chick Rescue to be an well written romance with plenty of kick ass moments, it’s a story that is bound to leave you with unexpected bursts of laughter, crazy stunts, enchanting characters and a story to captivate!!!

About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
