Just one more can’t hurt…right?
Re-belle-ious, free-spirited Lauren Renwick has decided it’s time to trade her wings for roots. That means no more bad boys, no more foolish choices. Yet when she’s stood up on New Year’s Eve, her resolution to stick to her Mama’s Rules for Dating weakens. Especially when she spots sex-in-leather-and-tattoos, Jackson Sullivan.
One look at Lauren, and Jackson is hell-bent on getting her on the back of his Harley and riding straight for his bed. Their night together is an erotic rush that has a new word popping up on his horizon—forever.
Lauren tries to convince herself he’s just one last fling to get bad boys out of her system, yet she finds herself falling hard and fast for a man with a stalker ex and a meddling Irish family. Plus, he has zero chance of passing her uptight parents’ inspection.
Jackson has Lauren’s back, but if she wants all of his heart, she’ll have to meet him halfway—by ditching rules that hold her prisoner, and learning to stand up for what she really wants.

Summary

When Lauren is stood up on New Years Eve, by her boyfriend, she is hurt and always refused to listen to her mother’s rules about dating, well that is about to change. She wants someone to love and to share her life with. When she spots Jackson, with his leather and tattoos and oozing sex out of his pores, she is overwhelmed. She doesn’t know what to make out of he feelings for this man. At first she knows it just has to be sex…sex on wheels…totally mind blowing and overwhelming. But soon she realizes that Jackson is more than just a bar owner, whose friends are bikers, and women hanging on his every word. He is a family man, grew up in a house of women, a man that knows what he wants and goes after it. Lauren and Jackson take on a erotic relationship, a bond that goes deeper than just sex. But Jackson knows that Lauren must learn to let herself let go if they have a chance at a future.

The Hero

This hero, is sexy and HOT and boy I was in heat just by the first few pages. Jackson Sullivan, is a stimulating man, a man that when he sees something he wants, he goes after it. And Lauren is what he wants. Jackson was the certain type of hero, that is deeper than what message he conveys. At the beginning, I was thinking he was just a typical bad boy who loves to ride his bike…hell no. He is hardworking, responsible and loves his family. He is dedicated and loyal, and he does have a alpha attitude, only when his female isn’t making the best decisions for her well being. He was such a hoot and you see that both his flaws and his positive traits, are well balanced.

The Heroine

Lauren Renwick, is a fun heroine, even if she is a bit hooked on her mothers rules. Rules that quite frankly are totally stupid in my opinion. Rules that keep Lauren from opening up fully with Jackson. It was part of her character, but I didn’t like how at the beginning, she was so focused on following the “rules” she missed out on what she and Jackson could have together. You do see quite a bit of growth development of her character, which I liked quite a bit, and you see how she into herself and gains confidence. She has certain aspects that I found very likable, her character could be very endearing and I grew to love her by the end.

Plot and Story Line

This story is short, so my review is not as long, and I did read it about a week previous so I am trying to recall all the things that I loved about Rule Breaker. And trust me I adored this story. This is the first book by this author, and I will say after reading this one, I will definitely be reading whatever else she brings out. Hooh yay!! At first I thought that this might be a biker romance, but its not. At least not your usual biker romance. Jackson isn’t some hard ass who lives a  real tough life with no family but his brothers. No, Jackson is the type of hero that is contagious and you ache to read more characters like him. In the beginning of the story they meet in a bar, have chemistry and have wild passionate sex. At first Lauren keeps trying to deny the desire she feels for him, but she wants control over her life, and Jackson makes her feel out of control. Jackson is much more receptible to a serious relationship than Lauren (how refreshing). He understands women more than most men, having grown up in a house full of them and their contradicting natures. What I truly enjoyed about this story was how to comes together in the end quite wonderfully. Jackson fights for Lauren, and he is like a dog with a bone, refusing to let go, even when she tends to hurt him at times. But you see the inner struggle she is going through emotionally, and the author did a great job at portraying that battle, and making Lauren out to be a heroine that is full of mixed feelings and trying to work her way through the confusion she feels. The story itself is beautifully written, and will have you hooked from the beginning. It is a lovely short interlude for a warm afternoon.

Cover

Can I say sexy and hot??? I love the pose of the couple, and boy that male model has some gorgeous tats. I am not always a fan of tatoos…they have to be tasteful for me to like them, and these are for me. And boy would I want to be in the heroine’s place in the cover. He looks like he wants to devour her. Oh mama!!

Overall View

a contemporary romance with a twist, a love story that is hard won, and one you have to fight for to have the one you love. OUSTANDING!!
