The only hope for saving their race is to surrender their hearts.

With a long foretold and annoyingly vague prophecy warning of immense change for Eden, Ramsay Shantos is forced to hunt words and legends instead of rebels. For a man of action, it’s the worst kind of agony. Until he encounters a sexy librarian who bears the fated prophecy’s mark. A mark no human should possess.
Tortured by her mixed heritage, Trinity Blair has enjoyed little human touch in her life, let alone intimacy. Even the most innocent contact fills her mind with a person’s deepest, darkest secrets—except for Ramsay. Her immunity to his thoughts sparks a fragile hope that she might finally experience the passion of her Dark Spiritu brethren…unless he’s the dangerous crossroads her father predicted.
When knowledge of Eden goes viral in the human realm, Trinity is Ramsay’s only hope for quelling mass panic. Can he risk revealing the secrets of his race to the guileless ray of sunshine? Or is she the unknown source of Eden’s destruction?
Warning: Contains one playboy warrior well-equipped with wicked words, a panty-melting grin, and well-honed moves in and out of the bedroom.

My Review Updated

Summary

Trinity Blair has mixed heritage, and for all of her life hasn’t been able to bear any human touch. Trinity is a librarian, bookish and content with her quiet life. But she bears a certain distinguished mark, that is part of a vital prophecy, that will bring her into a world she never truly comprehended and a man who would fight for her. Ramsay Shantos, is on the hunt and on a mission, which leads him to Trinity Blair. A woman he can’t deny having even to himself. Ramsay is put in a position because Trinity may be the sister to his sister in law and he will need to tread carefully. But Trinity is hiding a painful secret, of her true desires and of her heritage in being a Spirtu, because Ramsay despises them and Trinity is one of them through her father and she doesn’t want to risk losing this man who has shown her what love really is…

Plot and Story Line

I was really excited when I was able to obtain a ARC copy of Waking Eden!! I have really loved reading this author and this world of Eden she has created for us. I was also stoked to see that it would be Ramsay’s story. Man…I love him, he can be such a scoundrel at times but makes a perfect hero for the story.

Sunshine. Every about you is bright. The kind of light that makes a solitary man step out of the shadows.

It starts off in Dallas. Our heroine Trinity, is going out with her girlfriends. Now Trinity—is content with her books. She doesn’t need a social life or to meet a guy at a bar. But her friends drag her anyway and she meets Ramsay. There is instant chemistry between these two with just one look. Trinity is so out of her realm here…she has no idea how to handle Ramsay. But I did love that Ramsay doesn’t rush her, he seems to understand her pretty quickly (at least her reservations and fears) and is pretty patient with her.

When passion hits you, don’t run from it. Embrace it. Revel in it. Then you’ll know what it truly means to live.

When Trinity learns that she may have a sister by blood, she agrees to go to Eden, since its very likely that she will have an awakening. We see how her secret is tearing her apart though. She wants to be honest with Ramsay of her true heritage, but he seems to despise her people and its quite a struggle. But what I liked was that the “secret” wasn’t dragged out for the whole book. I did like seeing these two stumble a bit in their relationship and work through issues that felt so real and easy to relate to. It was quite fun to get back with this crew, and boy can I not wait for Ludan’s story hehe he is a hoot and so brooding. I am very eager to see what Rhenna does with his story. So if you like fantasy and a solid and heartwarming romance…pick up Waking Eden, you won’t regret it!!

The Cover

WHAT a cover…I just love the theme for these covers. What a gorgeous male model we have here, and I just love the long hair. *sigh* just a beautiful cover.

Overall View

Heart warming characters, a lively plot you can delve into, a romance that ties you up in knots and a story which is unforgettable in its breathtaking moments!!!  A KEEPER!!

About The Author Updated

About Rhenna Morgan

Rhenna Morgan writes for the same reason she reads—to escape reality.

Yes, her life rocks—two beautiful little girls, a great husband, a steady job, and the kind of friends that would take you out back if you hurt her. But, like most women, she’s got obligations stacked tight from dusk to dawn. So, when the world gets her down, she slips into something…less realistic.

Romance is a must. So is a steamy romp (or four). Nothing thrills her more than the fantasy of new, exciting worlds, strong, intuitive men, and the sigh of, “Oh if only that could happen to me.”

So, if you’re picking up one of her books, expect portals into alternate realms and men who’ll fight to keep the women they want. Romantic escape for the women who need it.
