Ultra wealthy and super powerful, the King family is like royalty in Texas. But who will keep the throne? New York Times bestselling author Katee Robert introduces a red-hot new series.

THE MAN SHE HATES TO LOVE

Beckett King just inherited his father's fortune, his company-and all his enemies. If he's going to stay on top, he needs someone he can trust beside him. And though they've been rivals for years, there's no one he trusts more than Samara Mallick.

The rebel. That's how Samara has always thought of Beckett. And he's absolutely living up to his unpredictable ways when he strides into her office and asks for help. She can't help wondering if it's a legit request or just a ploy to get her into bed. Not that she'd mind either one. After all, she likes to live on the edge too.

But soon the threats to the King empire are mounting, and the two find family secrets darker than they ever imagined and dangerous enough to get them both killed.

I am always a fan of Katee Robert, but I will admit that I was a bit nervous to pick up this book here. But I can say that I FELL in love with this book. I honestly couldn’t put it down after the first couple of chapter and the story was written so well. I loved the forbidden theme and the angst between the couple. I am not always a fan of angsty romances…but this one was penned perfectly in just the right way. So even if you don’t like angsty romances, you will come to adore this book…I guarantee it.

In this story it begins with our hero and heroine….Beckett and Samara. Beckett is the heir to the King domain….an empire he was raised for and is just what is needed to carry on after his father’s death. Samara works for Beckett’s aunt who has a vendetta against Beckett’s father. But Samara is loyal to a fault until one night she finds herself having a one night stand with Beckett. Both Samara and Beckett know they had a connection that night, but they both have dividing loyalties.

I’m not trying to seduce you out of your pants. I’m trying to seduce you out of your heart”

But as events start to escalate, the connection between Beckett and Samara build as does the love they have for each other and soon they start to uncover facts about Beckett’s aunt…..facts that could destroy them both.

Trust me to protect you Samara. Take a leap of faith…with me.

What a wild ride of a romance, this had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to the end. I just adored everything about this book and the chemistry between Beckett and Samara was simply “curl your toes” and a story you never want to end. I really adored the mystery and danger aspects of the story. The more you read, the more you uncover dangerous truths about the King family, including how dangerous Beckett’s aunt really is and what she will do for power and revenge.

But what really pulls you in is the love story between Beckett and Samara and seeing them fight for what they have together. Their relationship isn’t an easy one that is for sure, but Beckett is a fighter and he will stop at nothing for the safety of the woman that he loves and Samara will learn the love she has for Beckett is worth everything she has and seeing these two work together to bring down a deranged and evil villain was PERFECTION!! They make such a great team, they have both strong personalities but they really are so good for each other and really balance each other out just right.

God, her heart ached for him. He’d lost so much, and he just kept moving forward, barely missing a step.

About Katee Robert

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
