2016 Reading Challenges Update

by | Dec 22, 2016 | Uncategorized | 4 comments

So this was a year where I did a great job with some of my challenges, and some challenges I just let myself go with them. But I plan on being better in 2017!!!

[challenge-progress for=”Bad Boys of Romance”]

Yeah not too bad….I really love those bad boys with hearts of gold….they are my greatest weakness. What about you? Do you love them as much as I apparently did this year? I really outreached my goal on this one.

[challenge-progress for=”Books N’ Tunes Reading Challenge”]

Now this was a fun fun challenge!!! I loved being able to share music that I felt while reading or a song that matched the story or a character so well. And I am a huge fan of everything music. And I reached my goal so YAY!!!
[challenge-progress for=”Hard Core Re Reading Challenge”]

I didn’t get a chance to re read as much as I would have liked this year, so I fell behind on this reading challenge. Especially since many of the books I re read I had already written a review for.

[challenge-progress for=”Oldie But A Goodie Reading Challenge”]

Yeah I did a good job with this one if I do say so myself!!! I think a higher level is in order for 2017, because I really have no hardship picking up older books.

[challenge-progress for=”Out Of This World Reading Challenge”]

Yeah I SO did not do good with this one, I just kept forgetting to pick up this genre, but I can tell you I am not going to make the same mistake next year.
[challenge-progress for=”Pick Your Genre Reading Challenge”]

Yes I made my goal on this one and so glad that I did. I had quite a fun time with reading New Adult this year and can’t wait to see what I get a chance to read next year.

[challenge-progress for=”Spooks, Howls and Fangs Readings Challenge”]

Oh this was fun this year and I discovered so many great PNR this year. Both old favorite authors and some new authors to discover. Love anything that goes bump in the night.
[challenge-progress for=”TBR Reading Challenge”]

Yeah I was able to really wrangle my TBR this year, although I don’t think I noticed a difference on my TBR because I kept adding books to it. I would like to really focus on my TBR next year more though.
[challenge-progress for=”The Series That Never Ends Reading Challenge”]

I made some progress but not as much as I expected to make.
[challenge-progress for=”Blogger Shame Review Challenge”]

I made some progress, but honestly I feel so bad about not getting more done on this one. I think my plan for 2017, is to make more detailed lists of books I want to shave off for this one.

[challenge-progress for=”Read It All Reading Challenge-Beverly Jenkins”]

Then my last challenge which is still ongoing since it started mid way through the year. Its my Read It All Challenge and my author that I picked is Beverly Jenkins. She is one of my favorite authors, and if you are looking for more diversity in romance, she is your go to author plus her books are so romantic and historically authentic.

You did a nice spattering of challenges and that can make it tougher to win them. I think you did pretty good seeing as how you had a big move going on for the middle of it.

I love how you added the progress bars. How did you do that?

You’ve done so well on your goals. I know not everything was completed, but that’s okay and you definitely made some serious progress.

I’ve done well on my goals, except I’m behind on my Historical Romance reading goal, and I am even 1 book behind on my goodreads goals. I’m in a bit of a slump and it’s the WORST!
